It’s the time of New Year Resolutions. For many of us, those resolutions revolve around health and diet. As any nutritionist would say, portion control is key and packing a healthy lunch in a bento lunchbox is a great way to manage that.
What is a Bento? Bento is a single-portion, travel-friendly meal packed at home, common in the Japanese culture. Bentos can hold a lot of colors, flavors, textures, and food groups inside a container to help ensure that food doesn’t move around before mealtime. Traditionally Bentos consist of rice, fish or meat, and pickled or cooked vegetables held in a box-shaped container, but these handy sets, kits, and containers allow for versatility, creativity, and a bit of fun when it comes to eating away from home, whether it is a child or an adult!
They are also great for waste-free lunch packing. Say goodbye to baggies, plastic wrap and foil! Plus packing your own lunch saves money! Lunchboxes are BPA-Free. Ice-packs are non-toxic and biodegradable. Both are made in the USA.
