I have been thinking a lot about how I want to do the blog in 2018. I do know for certain I want to do more & more personal posts…..that was always an ambition of mine for this website from the very beginning. My motto is all things “frugal fashion finances & fun.”
So this is the beginning of a tradition I want to work hard to maintain…..Fun Five (things) on Fridays. Things I did. Things I saw. Deals I got. OOTD. Anything for you.
So I hope you have some fun too! Here we go!
I took a few weeks off from this column. To be honest, I sat down to write 1 night & it stressed me out & I felt too much of he looming deadline! I just couldn’t think of anything interesting to write & I was scared. So it served as a good lesson to me. Let’s all not worry so much! Let’s all take a break so we can come back renewed!
I will tell you friends now that when I was in Las Vegas in February I got my 1st tattoo! All this time later I still love it soooo much, the symbolism of it, & of course my bestie Deb who also got this same matching 1.
It is finally healed up enough (yay!) so it is not scabbed & also healed enough I can again resume my beloved foot soaks. I will tell you the 2 best best skin care items I used to heal the skin easily, not only for the tattoo but other skin issues that can pop up for me now & then (winter dryness & also occasional bouts of eczema).
I was honored to share 2 stories on my friend Amber’s site this week, Metro Detroit Mommy.

My sister & I saw the “I Can Only Imagine” movie this weekend. WOW that movie was even better than I imagined. It was really emotional & a very engaging story of the song we all know & love so much. Here is the official trailer. I do think ALL worship music singers should see this movie!
After the movie we hit up Plato’s Closet in Novi. I like shopping there + Clothes Mentor next door because they have such cute & nice clothes very gently used, great prices, & it’s always a fun adventure to comb the racks for hidden gems. I did end up buying a LOT but I am a happy girl to freshen up my non-work clothes & Emily also was able to save on some summery clothes for her cruise this fall.
I AM GOING to the Josh Groban/Idina Menzel “Bridges” tour when it comes to Detroit this fall. I can’t even believe my happiness! I saw Idina this past summer & I have seen Josh 2x. Josh hasn’t toured in so long so I am ready! He is even BETTER in real life than on his CDs. Just for good times sake I have now only been listening to Josh in my car!
