I have been thinking a lot about how I want to do the blog in 2018. I do know for certain I want to do more & more personal posts…..that was always an ambition of mine for this website from the very beginning. My motto is all things “frugal fashion finances & fun.”
So this is the beginning of a tradition I want to work hard to maintain…..Fun Five (things) on Fridays. Things I did. Things I saw. Deals I got. OOTD. Anything for you. I may or may not post every week, but I do post these on Fridays. Life is too short & precious to stress myself out & sometimes my life is just not that exciting!
So I hope you have some fun too! Here we go!
A few weekends ago I made a fast road trip to see a BFF in Lexington, KY. We had a pretty quiet weekend so not much to say about girlie time, but I did stop in Cincinnati on the way home to visit the big outlet mall. I was hoping to begin some Christmas shopping but I think I’m just a little out of season perhaps; I only bought 1 thing. This has spurred me to especially be mindful to begin looking for & Posting Christmas shopping sales for ALL of us beginning now.
Here’s 1 start! 5 BFF gifts under $5!
I want to share this video of a habit I used to have in my early couponing days. I have kind of gotten away from this pricing system because I know the prices I am mostly willing to pay per item. But this talk with myself helped me sort out the frugal savings count of items that I don’t regularly buy.
I have been a little absent from this column if you have been following my saga. Truth be told a few things have happened.
1) You may remember that I was very ill during the month of June & right smack in the middle of my move. Well, really I thought I was getting better & maybe I was for a time but I am back under. I also had some personal issues I have had to tend to & work through. I have much personal journal writing that has happened! Which has been wonderful & re-inspiring to me.
2) Sometimes, really, life is not that interesting for me! haha I struggle to find 5 every single week. I would stress & stress & I have realized that I just can NOT do that to myself just to write a few words on a page! It’s not worth it for me & it’s not worth it to you! So I do want to do this column very regularly but I am going to leave it up in God’s hands (haha!)
1 of those personal things is that today is my last day at my current bank branch. It was a wonderful journey but I am taking a small promotion (yay!) & will be slightly closer to home (yay!) It’s very bittersweet for sure, since the best part of my job is the customers I have grown to bond with over my 3 years there.
