I am very honored that I was able to join my blogger friends @ A Girl’s Guide to Cars to cover the 2019 North American International Auto Show. This really began 2019 on a high note for me, personally & (blogger-ally).

I look at my cousin, so proud that he works at the Spring Hill (TN) plant that makes the new Cadillac XT6. He even came up to Detroit from TN for a weekend to see it all in action.

Speaking of Cadillac, I am so glad they are fully coming back to D & bringing their HQ out of NY & back to the D. You can read more here. GM is really coming back to their roots. & it makes this hometown girl proud.

Since it has been so cold & snowy this week, I really look forward to having the show moving to the summer in 2020. Not only will it be easier for us to get downtown to see the cool stuff, but I am sure the car companies will be even more innovative in a subversive auto experience so we can really see EVERYTHING 1st hand.

So far, we know:

The Gallery: June 6
Press Preview: June 9 – 10
Industry Preview: June 10 – 11
AutoMobili-D: June 9 – 11
Charity Preview: June 12
Public Show: June 13 – 20

I saw reports that 750,000+ people came to the show this year. A record $121 million (yes, million) was raised for charity. This all doesn’t even account for the economic impact of the winter show. I am sure that the warmer weather will drive even more in 2020. & all of that is the best part.
