Thanksgiving Week Blog Plan @ Bonny Buckner

This post contains affiliate links. I was also given a free scale for me to try to share my own review opinion. You can read more about my advertising & sponsorship policies here.

The 24 hour CVS stores begin their Thursday-Saturday ads @ 12:00 midnight on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. To prepare I usually arrive to the store at about 11:30-11:45 (with a large coffee in hand, BTW! Tip: bring a disposable cup so you don’t have to worry about your tumbler!) When I arrive I grab a cart, print my coupons @ the Magic Coupon Machine, skim the ad, scope out the aisles & plan my attack, maybe throw a few items into my cart. Once it becomes 12:01 I can start heading to the checkout lane. I usually do 2 transactions to keep some OOP cost down & “roll” ECBs. But I don’t make elaborate plans for it. I also will finish Transaction #1 & then get back in line to let others checkout in a good fast turn for them (be friendly toward your fellow shoppers & cashiers!).

I rarely look at an ad before I go, but if one comes along to me I will skim it. I take my coupon purse with me JUST in case there are any items that come along w/ coupons (shampoo, etc). Most of the deals though do NOT need coupons so keep this in mind if you are a newbie! YOU CAN  STILL get a LOT of great needs & gifts, maybe even for FREE as a final net cost after Extra Care Bucks. Also always remember you can use Magic Machine Coupons alongside the deals for even more savings!

The only store shopping I personally am willing to entertain on Friday is Bath & Body Works for their annual tote bag filled w/ goodies & I also usually get into Old Navy in the evening for 50% off & $1 fuzzy socks. Lucky for me this year, both of these stores are literally next door to my work. But even before I worked here I could easily hop down there after I would get out of work.

Since I don’t battle the stores, this is why I maintain my cyber-deal philosophy for posting all of Thanksgiving weekend. If I am not willing to battle crowds why should you?

In my 7 (!!) years of blogging, I always post on the hour every 1-2 hours all Thanksgiving weekend only the best best frugal online shopping deals on the Facebook page + Twitter. None here on the full website (stuff moves along too fast), & few sporadically on Instagram. Of course I don’t buy every single item I post—I would go broke! & either should you. Buy what YOU need. But I do post only gems I find to be good price/value & only vendors I know & trust. An item I WOULD be willing to buy myself @ the best price I would be willing to pay. Amazon may make way onto the feed but I do NOT stalk Amazon because 1) I do work for a bit of the time this weekend @ my job so some of the posts a pre-written to auto-post @ those times & 2) Amazon moves too fast for me to post & you in turn to see it.

Visit the Facebook page early & often that weekend. Start watching the page even now because there are great deals already rolling in.

& if something catches your eye, give me a “like” or especially a share so other friends can join our frugal Christmas journey. Also the more interaction means more Facebook newsfeed reminders for everyone.
